It’s been awhile….

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

Almost 2 months since I last updated anything here. For the most part is due to the fact I’ve been computerless for a little over a month now. Yeah how am I doing this huh. Well.. … .. this comes from work and the laptop. Which I usually don’t use either one when updating the websites.
Besides that I’ve gotten caught up on some other things. For the most part though the last two months have kinda been boring. Not much happening with anything. I’ve gotten a little smarter with some of the theme thing and elements. So I’ve been tinkering with that. Gotta wait for the new computer though to test them out.
Yeah for those that don’t know my computer is fried. The motherboard was going out. At the time I didn’t know so I took it to have everything overhauled. After all it’s over 2 years old. Brought it back and it went out again. So after talking to the manufacturer and troubleshooting somethings the conclusion was a problem with the motherboard. So after about the sixth time of reconnecting the drives I called it quits.
Now I’m waiting for a new one which will take 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.
So until then I’ll be around just not to active.

New Things

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

Well February is almost over. Seems like only a short time ago it was the New Year. Already we are a month into it.

We’ve got some updates that have been posted.

vBulletin 3.7 Beta 5

The site forum has been upgraded to the newest beta release from Jelsoft. Tons of new things will be with this release and by the time it goes GOLD. I’ll be including a list of thing when a stable release if published.

Feel free to nose around, post, drop a comment or two or three. Test out some of the new themes. Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be publishing a couple of new things. So you’ll be seeing some of those new things.

Here’s a sneak peek as some of vB’s new features.

Social Networking:
A new feature will come packaged in this version. You can now create a social network throughout the forums. They’ve intergrated more flexibility with the way you handle friends, buddies, and visitors.

Usergroups:
You can now create usergroups to display pictures, comments, tips, or carry on brief conversations. I can see this being great for showcasing any type of projects. You can post progress pictures and comments from the group. Don’t have a project then use them for showcasing maybe a favorite hobby or a pet peeve.

Thanks,

Another Year Bites the Dust!

Friday, January 11th, 2008

Can you believe that we’ve survived another year. It’s only the second week of the year and I’m already wondering where the time is flying.

Normally I don’t make New Year resolutions. Simply because I know I will break them before I even make them. So why bother. So one year I made the “resolutions” first not to make any more. Second to make a plan for a better year.

So this year’s plan was to get my life more organized. Well that went out the first week. Let me tell yah. Between family, work, and a social life it takes it all. No time for a personal life.

At least my second plan which was to make this year better than last has started out on a good foot. My sister started out with some good news, our mother is declining but with better spirits, and everyone is coping with more patience. Not to mention my babies are more happy than ever. My goodness Sasha wants to take a shower with me.

With that we ring out the old year and ring in the new. We look for new opportunities and focus on new ideas to make this year brighter. So for the most part this year will be better and our outlook will reflect a more positive attitude to our future. With that in mind the next time you pass someone at work look them straight in the eye and with smile on your face and in your voice with them a good new year.
